Wesley A. Goar, PhD, is the manager of the Genomics Systems and Data Integration team at the Institute for Genomic Medicine of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. With more than 10 years of experience in bioinformatics sequence analysis and clinical interpretation of cancer variants, he received his PhD from the University of Iowa in computational genetics, and has experience as a senior bioinformatics scientist, bioinformatics manager, genomics pipeline developer, and sequence analyst. Wes serves as board member for the Cancer Genomics Consortium (CGC) and is a member of the ClinGen Established Significance SC-VCEP working group, the VICC Gene Fusion Oncogenicity and Complex Variants working group, as well as the CGC Genomic Resources Development committee.
