Bio-Rad announces Amplichek II molecular control designed to monitor the performance of in vitro laboratory nucleic acid testing procedures for the detection of healthcare associated infections (HAIs) such as MSSA/MRSA, C. difficile, and VRE. This consolidated control can be used with test kits that detect nucleic acids in stool, swab, or blood culture samples. As an independent quality control, Amplichek II allows laboratories to monitor the test process including extraction, amplification, and detection with a single control.
