QuickSlide, a division of Hardy Diagnostics, offers the GramPRO 1, a hands-free, automatic slide-staining instrument. Each slide is automatically stained, decolorized, and counter stained in about 3.5 minutes. The counter-size device uses a patented decolorization process that automatically adjusts for sample thickness. It has a dedicated waste line and requires no daily cleaning, since the instrument automatically cleans itself in process. Further periodic cleaning and maintenance is programmed via software notifications.
