bioMérieux launches the Maestria platform to connect its microbiology instrumentation, including blood culture and ID/AST instruments, into a single data management system. This enables instrument monitoring and laboratory workflow optimization, and provides reporting capabilities for laboratory regulated requirements. Maestria will soon be capable of connecting to the Biofire Film Array Torch system, specifically including both the BCID2 blood culture identification pouch and the VITEK system to provide rapid AST for bloodstream infections and assist in the fight against AMR/AMS.
