Liquid stable and ready-to-use clinical reference materials for microprotein testing are now available from Verichem Laboratories. These products are intended for the calibration and verification of clinical systems testing for total protein and albumin in urine and cerebral spinal fluid (CFS) samples. Suitable for use with turbidimetric and colorimetric test methodologies, the materials incorporate human protein components for optimum reactivity. Packaged as a kit, the materials are offered in ample volumes sufficient to cover multiple calibration verification events, unexpected system trouble-shooting, or additional testing procedures. Filled in easy-to-use, translucent polyethylene dropper vials, they offer a shelf-life stability claim of 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored refrigerated at temperatures of 2° to 8°C. A Certificate of Analysis is included with each kit, indicating traceability to available NIST and/or ERM Standard Reference Materials.
